ITI Study Club
In 2011, BCPI was offered an opportunity by the International Team for Implantology (ITI) to host ITI Study Club events in Brisbane, and has been holding 3-4 meetings a year since.
The aim of this initiative is to bring together like minded clinicians to discuss issues and cases relating to implant dentistry. We believe this study club should foster an open exchange of ideas and a better appreciation of the clinical issues faced by dental practitioners on a daily basis, ultimately to the benefit of our patients.
Numbers are limited to ITI members and guests of members to ensure meetings remain personal and informal. Meetings involve a mixture of lecture style discussions led by invited speakers (local, interstate and international) and round table seminars where clinical cases can be presented and discussed by study club members.
The aim of this initiative is to bring together like minded clinicians to discuss issues and cases. For more information on the ITI organisation and membership please visit: https://www.iti.org/. Please contact office@bcpi.com.au if you are interested in attending our next study club as a guest.
Our next ITI Study Club will be a Games Event as part of an international competition where each study club works through a structured implant treatment planning case. The winning Australasian club advances to the Global Round and ultimately represents our Section at the ITI World Symposium 2027.
Our postgraduate students will be leading the case presentation on the night. There are two ways to get involved:
- Participate and present – please let me know by 26th May and we will get you involved.
- Join as an audience member – share your clinical advice and guidance on the case. Your experience on the night is just as valuable.
A/Prof Ryan Lee and Dr Himanshu Arora will judge on the quality of communication and presentation to select the best group to represent us at the next level.
The winning group will then collate the presentations and record a short 10-minute video for submission at the Australasian Section level.
This event will be held on Wednesday 8th July 2026 at Factory51, 51 Holdsworth Street, Coorparoo from 6:30pm. Please contact office@bcpi.com.au to register your attendance for this event.
