CLINICAL RESEARCH
Clinical research is regularly conducted in our practice with strong links to a number of universities. At various times our patients may be asked to take part in one of these projects when suitable. Please note: there is absolutely no obligation for patients to take part in any of these projects.
Current Projects Conducted at BCPI:
- Alveolar Bone Grafting – this project investigates various bone grafting materials that can be used to augment deficient a jaw bone to allow for future dental implant placement. Project lead: Dr Jamil Alayan
- Immediate Dental Implant Placement – this project assesses the outcomes of placing dental implants immediately after tooth removal. Project lead: Prof Saso Ivanovski
- Systemic Antibiotics & Periodontal disease – this project investigates the use of the latest chemotherapeutic agents in the management of periodontal disease. Project lead: Dr Rod Marshall
